Frances’ focus was to eliminate bottlenecks and also significantly reduce and simplify the time taken in checking batches parts coming through inspection. Her solution involved a self-engineered first article inspection fixture and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) which can be implemented at Langstone for current and future projects.
It’s been a privilege supporting Frances during her apprenticeship and watching her grow and develop throughout that time. Needless to say she had to work particularly hard and apply what she’s learned so far during the 16 weeks of her final project. As always, PETA have been invaluable in providing continued guidance and support throughout this process giving Frances and all of our apprentices the opportunity to learn, grow and contribute.
We’re excited to see what Frances continues to do with us and look forward to being part of her success story as she takes on more projects in the future.
